Elder José A. Teixeira declares, "Our choices have the undeniable power of transforming our lives. This gift is an extraordinary sign of trust in us and simultaneously a cherished personal responsibility to use wisely. Our Father in Heaven respects our freedom to choose and will never force us to do what is right, nor will He impede us from making mediocre choices. His invitation, however, concerning this important and vital gift is clearly expressed in the scriptures: “But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, everything which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve Him, is inspired of God".
The members of the University 32nd Ward have been given the trust by God to empower change within themselves and in the lives of others.
Choosing to envoke that trust and witness the joy that comes through obedience, truly is a choice. Many currently choose to follow the enticings of the good spirit and ignore the evil one. For this, blessings are flowing abundantly to the lives of our members and to the ward collectively. The bishopric celebrates and rejoices with you as we witness daily the personal miracles that occur because of good choices being made. We also celebrate those that are stepping forward to invite all to come unto Christ, those that are enjoying the journey through activities and associations, and all of you who are taking your callings and assignments seriously as an offering to the Lord.
Many more wonderful things are coming and there will be no way to deny the power of Christ in our lives as we stay the course and unity together. Let's continue to put the kingdom first, shepherd each other, attend the temple, learn of our ancestors, choose good over evil, and simple get and stay involved. The Lord desires to literally shower down blessings upon us if we simply choose to obey His commandments.
All our love,
The University 32nd Ward Bishopric
